So in honor of @IdlePaleAle who already mentioned wanting an Octo Pale Ale/beer, I would like to intrdouce the idea of an official Octo beer sale on our Merchstore. The idea emerged after our last AMA on the 18th this month, after some meming and joking about it in the tg chat.
In turn I have contacted our one and only octopreneur @YCEO1 and introduced him to the idea of a community designed octo beer with the combination of NFTs. He'd gladly ad this idea to the community store after some more detailing and communication with the community.
Imagine an original german beer brewed after the standards of a family owned brewery which dates back to 1728.
Branding designed by our community with the help of @CFow and the meme artist with the 8 branding in mind. Plus the killer quotes of Don Octoleone (Formerly known as Bruce Wayne) printed on the label
The NFTs could be connected to the bottles with scratchable QR codes.
So imagine a badge of 888 8-packs and every bottle/or 8 pack (has to be decided by the community) has a QR code with an NFT attached to it. Tiered in different rarities from common to ultra rare.
I think this could be marketed pretty well and would bring a lot of attention to the OCTO platform/family.
I don't know the feasibility of those QR codes with attached NFTs but I'm sure we have some great minds on how to do this

Great idea, but please don't make a German beer. Make a Belgian beer or IPA, or better, OPA (octopus pale ale)

CFow Wow I love this idea and how it adds another layer of individuality and rare elements to the NFT conversation. This is a unique and fun experiment to gain traction with the communities participation. I would love a scratch off rare "OctoPepe" NFT that can only be accessed through the purchase of an 8pack of octo.fIPA or TentacALE.

Burr_scurr has some good connects and we are working on a solution for a way for them to accept crypto payments. Currently the store has 2 payment options: crypto or CC.

I think a great idea and unique and fun experiment to gain traction with the communities participation.

Great idea! Love a good brew and would be happy to help in anyway 🙂 NFTs with each beer or case would be a lot of fun and an awesome attention grabber.

I'm thinking it would work best if they were either all random NFTs from within the community (Along the lines of RarePepe) and/or a set of the same or similar Octopi with different accessories/colours/expressions/backgrounds/etc... Think HashMasks, MoonCats, TwerkyPepe, CryptoPunks or Chubbies.

Having this be the only way to access these NFTs would be awesome as well as an 8% resell fee for the secondary market that some or all goes to the Fee Distribution Wallet.
